History of Ledûb
Founder Sjef van Winkel began producing shirts in 1949 with 9 other people. In his endeavour for perfection he introduced certain tools to ensure quality.
Ledûb was launched in 1963.
In 1968 the first collection of men’s shirts under the Ledûb name was developed and sold, thereby offering exclusivity to specialist men’s wear shops.
From the beginning Ledûb operated a stock system known as LIS: “Ledûb in stock”; even back then all shirts were sent out the same day – a fact which made Ledûb unique.
In 1970 Ledûb started to expand by introducing qualitative shirts to the market. As such Ledûb grew, and continued to grow into one of Holland’s largest shirt brands it is today.
In 1980 Ledûb introduced elaborately designed shirts, and uniquely modeled shirts, thus underpinning the brand’s success.
At the start of the Nineties Ledûb became a contemporary brand, in part due to a large-scale consumer campaign which highlighted the attention we like to pay you, the consumer.
At the start of this century Ledûb developed a new, individual identity by adding informal shirts to its collections.
Ledûb offers a broad product range from standard shirts to bespoke ones.
The organisation typifies itself by providing passionate focus on service, something which back in the 70s quickly resulted in bespoke shirts. From the very start Ledûb placed the wish and demands of the consumer first.
Ledûb uses only the best of fabrics, such as non-iron and two-ply.
Ledûb operates upon well-established collaboration with reliable suppliers, all of whom meet our strict Ledûb requirements. By keeping up-to-date with the market, as well as anticipating it, Ledûb has become the success it is today.
Ledûb is corporately linked with the Ledûb FC sports association. Ledûb has been the main sponsor of this volleyball club for over 30 years now.
